I was 3 years old My sister Naama would catch me in particularly awkward moments with the disposable point & shoot film cameras she had at the time. I remember she would immediately go develop the photos in "Develop express". It was a great. and time flies
later
When I held my dad's legendary Pentax K1000 that he made sure to store well in a leather case on some secret shelf in his room
It could have been one of the two or at a later time
When Anna was in high school 2 – she asked me why I was going to buy a camera (at the time a simple 5MP one)
If – "You can take pictures with your phone, right"
The truth is that I don't exactly know. I don't know what it is about this device that just blows my mind. And especially my partner Tamar who tells me enough is enough to take the camera everywhere!!! (And I still do..) When I took it more seriously I worked on a dslr and switched from there to mirrorless and then it was already too late. The film bug infected me …. Sometimes people say that I mumble "cinematic look" in my sleep, I don't know I just want to open the shutter to 180 and press rec I haven't gotten into video editing since childhood. It actually happened later, and maybe thanks to the camera
Now that I have been in the field for 5 years, editing films, commercials, and everything in between, I have realized that this is the winning combination Between sitting for hours on end editing and going out for photo shoots that also last hours – for me this seam is true happiness (Even if it is accompanied by strong existential questions) Today I know.. I am strongest in working on projects comprehensively and thoroughly with a focus and emphasis on a story at the center. When that is the case, I can see and feel the final product in the best possible way.
